We always look forward to meeting new patients and our goal is to make you feel as comfortable as possible! Every patient is unique and our experienced team is committed to providing high-quality care based on your customized treatment plan. Reminders regarding your first visit:
- Bring your dental insurance card to your appointment
- Provide any written referral or x-rays that your dentist may have provided
- Patients under the age of 18 should be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian
- Please bring any existing removable, complete or partial denture with you. EVEN IF YOU HATE IT, IT DOESN'T FIT, IT HURTS, YOU DON'T EVER WEAR IT AND/OR IT'S BROKEN. We can gain A LOT of valuable information from this (basically what NOT to do) as well as save time by using it.
Your first visit will be a comprehensive examination and assessment of your case, including a review of the information provided by your dentist. If necessary, diagnostic x-rays will be taken so that your situation can be thoroughly evaluated and the ideal treatment plan can be determined. Your doctor will discuss your diagnosis, explain procedures and sedation options, and create a treatment plan that addresses your individual needs.
Please speak with the doctor about any concerns you have regarding your care. We consider it an honor to care for your oral surgical needs and greatly appreciate the trust you place in us to do so.
Going to the dentist can be stressful but it doesn’t have to be! It’s our goal to minimize the stress of your first visit as much as possible. Therefore, we’ve created a stress-free, calm, relaxed environment for you to simply get a chance to meet us, find out what we can do for you, and see if our clinic is the right fit for you and your treatment. Simple as that.
During your first visit we will gather the necessary information to answer the following questions simply and honestly with the overall goal to create a custom treatment plan that works for you to restore optimum oral health, esthetics and function:
- What is your primary dental concern and what are your treatment goals/wishes/desires? (ie “I don’t like my smile”, “I can’t chew well without my back teeth”, etc)
- What dental treatment do you need? [Dr. P will evaluate your records and inform you]
- What dental treatment can you have in terms of your overall health and oral situation? [Dr. P will evaluate your records and inform you]
- What dental treatment do you want? [discussion with Dr. P]
- Which treatment plan works best for you in terms of time commitment and finances? [discussion with treatment coordinator]
Once these questions are answered, we can begin treatment if that is what you decide. The best part is: NO HIGH-PRESSURE SALES!
We believe that your healthcare decisions should be carefully considered and only motivated by what is needed, what you want and what works best for you. That’s it. No pressure necessary.
